Prof. Evans Osabuohien is a graduate of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State, with Second Class Upper Division (B.Sc Economics, 2002). He advanced his studies at Covenant University, Ota where he obtained M.Sc (Economics, 2006) and Ph.D (Economics, 2011). He is also an alumnus of several other Universities/Higher Institutions across the globe, including University of Bonn, – Germany), Higher School of Economics-, Moscow Region, Russia, Goethe Institute-, (Hamburg, Germany), New Horizons Computer Learning Centre-(Nigeria), World Bank Institute/Trade Policy Training Centre in Africa ( Arusha, Tanzania) Lund University (Lund, Sweden), among others.

He is a good team-player, hard-working, intelligent and self-driven person who demonstrates maturity, innovative-ness and responsibility on any assignment. He is endowed with a pleasant personality and capability to work effectively in multi-cultural environments. He has executed funded research projects as an individual, team leader and team member. He is astute in research, which has resulted in publication of over 80 scholarly articles and has participated in conferences/workshops/ short courses across the world. He is a member of many International Learned Societies/Professional Associations and Has reviewing and editorial experience with his edited book ‘Handbook of Research on In-Country Determinants and Implications of Foreign Land Acquisitions’ (2015). Furthermore, he has administrative aptitude served the Head of Department – HOD (Economics & Development Studies) between 2016 and 2018 as the youngest HOD in Covenant University, Nigeria
